Privacy Policy

We only collect what the sale actually requires:

• Contact details: your name, phone number, and email address, so we can reach you about your offer.
• Vehicle information: VIN, year, make, model, mileage, color, condition notes, loan status, and photos you upload.
• Bank details: account holder name, bank name, routing number, and account number, only when it is time to pay you.
• Documents: the sale paperwork you sign, plus anything you upload such as a payoff letter.
• Signature records: your signature, the date and time, and the IP address you signed from, which is what makes an electronic signature verifiable.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with data brokers, and we do not use it for advertising.

Your account and routing numbers are the most sensitive thing we hold, and they are treated that way.

• They are encrypted before they are ever stored, using AES-256-GCM. The stored form is unreadable without a key that is not kept in the database.
• Ordinary staff accounts cannot read them at all. Only an administrator can reveal them, and only to run your payment.
• Every single time they are revealed, we record who looked and when.
• Once your payment has been sent, the numbers are sealed: they can no longer be revealed by anyone through our system.

Everywhere else in our system, your payout account appears only as your bank name and the last four digits.

Signed documents and vehicle photos are kept in private storage that is not publicly reachable. When you or a member of our team views one, we generate a temporary link that expires shortly after it is issued. There is no permanent public URL for your paperwork.

We keep the list of outside companies short, and each one only does one job:

• Supabase hosts our database, file storage, and login system.
• Vercel hosts the website itself.
• Resend delivers our email to you.
• The NHTSA vehicle database decodes VINs. Only the VIN is sent, never your personal information.

We may also share information when the law requires it, such as title and registration paperwork filed with the state, tax reporting, or a valid legal request.

We keep records of completed vehicle sales for as long as we are legally required to, which covers title and registration records, tax and accounting obligations, and the period during which a dispute could arise. Even within that period, your bank account number is sealed from view once your payment has gone out.

If you asked for an offer and never sold us the vehicle, there is no legal record to preserve, and you can ask us to delete your information at any time.

• Ask us what personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
• Ask us to delete your information, which we will do unless we are legally required to keep a record of a completed sale.
• Ask us to stop emailing you. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out of those while still receiving messages about an active deal.

We use cookies for the things the site cannot work without: keeping you signed in and keeping your session secure. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

This service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
